Press AccreditationONLINE EDUCA BERLIN 2008 provides accredited members of the press a wide range of services before, during and after the conference. Please be sure to check back periodically, as we will update the site frequently with new information.
Accreditation Criteria
Press Badges are limited to members of the printed or electronic press currently employed by a news organisation.
Freelance writers must present an original letter of assignment from a qualifying editor or publication and one sample of an article published in the last six months. Those who freelance occasionally and are employed by non-news organisations are not eligible for media credentials.
Printed Press
Staff writers from industry trade publications, newspapers and wire services must present valid 2008 press cards or press credentials.
Online Media
An online news outlet must contain original news content above and beyond links, forums, troubleshooting tips and reader contributors. Each news outlet must post original, dated, education or industry-related news at least once per week.
Writers for online publications are required to present a must present valid 2008 press cards or press credentials. Electronic media and camera or sound crews are required to present valid 2008 press cards or press credentials.
Please note
Press credentials are reserved for editorial staff. Not eligible for press credentials are book authors, contributors to user/community group publications, consultants, marketing, public relations, sales, administrative, production, account executive, webmaster, etc.
Past approval for a press pass to a prior ICWE conference does not guarantee approval for this event. We reserve the right to refuse press passes, without cause, during pre-registration as well as on-site media registration.
Please be advised that, due to high demand, press passes are limited in number and are reserved for commercial news outlets.
Press Registration
To obtain a press accreditation, members of the media may register in advance by submitting the proper credentials. For your convenience, all badges will be held in the press office for pick up.
You must present the appropriate accreditation credentials listed above. If approved, you will receive confirmation from our public relations department.
