At this year’s ONLINE EDUCA BERLIN, tools and solutions related to Web 2.0 were high on the agenda. However, the conference speakers went well beyond simply defining the phenomena. Instead, keynotes and presentations aimed to point out concrete outcomes, practical applications, as well as occurring challenges and obvious problems of Web 2.0 in education.

What is still needed, however, are policy-making decisions, explicit guidelines and concerted action – on communal, national and international levels.
