He received a PhD in experimental physics (2000) from The Norwegian University for Sciences and Technology (NTNU). He has been Associate Prof at Sør-Trøndelag University College since 2002, teaching physics, mathematics and computer sciences. He has always been fond of creating and using digital tools to enhance the learning experience in the classroom, from animations, to web simulations and calculation tools.
He has during the last 6 years participated in several EC funded projects targeting pedagogical inclusion of digital tools in the classroom. He has been developing a welding simulator targeting vocational training of welders. He has also been central in developing a student response system targeting classroom response systems.
