I am an E-Learning consultant and researcher in 3D Virtual Worlds. I have been working in the field of instructional design since 1999. I have collaborated on research projects, undertaken consultancy in educational innovation and I have imparted training on educational opportunities and designing learning activities in 3D Virtual Worlds.
Specialising in E-Learning since 1999, I have designed and directed projects about national and European technical assistance, as well as consulted regarding the implementation of E-Learning in institutions of both the public and private sectors.
I frequently speak at professional forums and seminars, as well as collaborating in various publications. I have been a Special Adviser of the 1st Editorial on Education in Virtual Worlds for Learning Review, an expert evaluator for the ICT FP7 European Commission and a member of the corps of referees ENL@ce, a Venezuelan magazine about information, technology and knowledge.
I was responsible for organising the first seminar about learning in virtual worlds, at the “IX International Meeting Virtual Educa Zaragoza” (July, 2008), and I was also the organiser of the first business session on education in 3D Virtual Worlds at the Eighth Day Practice E-Learning and enterprise, to AEFOL.
My research focuses on the design of learning activities and pedagogical issues of 3D Virtual Worlds and I am doing a PhD at Sevilla University (Spain).
