Ulrike Damyanovic works at the European Training Foundation in Italy. She has been involved in education and training for 20 years. This has included the management of UETP DANUBE (University Enterprise-Training Partnership), her responsibility for external relations at Vienna University of Technology as well as her short-term detachment to DG Research. Since 1996 she has worked for the ETF in transition economies including the new EU Member States, the Western Balkans and in the Near East and Northern Africa. This has included management of projects as well as content input to education and training reform initiatives in the region. In this period she has closely worked with European Commission Services and Country Authorities. During this period she has been involved in IT for education and training, with particular reference to the Phare Multi-Country Programme for Distance Learning, an E-Learning Study in the Western Balkans, and the regional MEDA ETE (Education and Training for Employment) eLearning project for teacher training. Recently she has carried out a joint project with the European Learning Industry on the role of learning industries for education and training in the Near East and North Africa.
