Bert De Coutere holds a degree as Commercial Engineer in Information Management (KULeuven) and an MBA title from the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School.
He did research on the design of a proactive coaching system for e-learning. He has been active in the field of learning and e-learning for the last 10 years, first as instructor and course designer, later as project manager, consultant and development manager.
He currently works at IBM Learning Development where he is responsible for the solution design of commercial e-learning development projects within Europe.
He co-created the 6C-learning framework with Prof Baten and Prof Viaene and blogs about learning and learning 2.0. He currently is writing a book 'Homo Competens' on competent people.
