Fadi Abdul Khalek

Fadi Abdul Khalek is the President and CEO of UKS, one of the leading e-learning organisations in the Middle East with extended operations in Europe, Asia and North America. UKS is widely recognised as a leader in the educational revolution taking shape in the Middle East in the recent years. Prior to joining UKS, Fadi had more than 12 years experience in both academic and corporate education and has been involved in a variety of research, development and implementation of various knowledge-based technologies. More recently, Fadi has been spearheading UKS efforts in the research and development of innovative and advanced learning technologies that are capable of transforming education into the 21st century and beyond. UKS research efforts have been focusing on several tracks including New Generation educational technologies, collaborative and blended models of learning as well as searching and content harvesting technologies. Mr Abdul Khalek has actively participated in various workshops, industry forums, seminars and conferences in the fields of education technologies and knowledge-based economies and has consulted various governments and governmental organisations in the region on issues pertaining to knowledge-based economies, educational reform and lifelong learning. Mr Abdul Khalek represents UKS in the European Learning Industry Group (ELIG), and is a member of various regional and international organisations, forums and professional communities.
