Chris Aver
Chris Aver has worked for BT for in various sales and marketing roles for 25 years. Working with Corporate, SME and Consumers from both perspectives, has afforded a valuable insight into marketing efficacy. Prior to her current position as Head of Communications, Security & Continuity, she held the post of Editor-in-Chief, BTYahoo! where she was responsible for the concept and delivery of the customer engagement strategy and ownership of the delivery of the portal presence forming part of BTYahoo!'s full service ISP customer experience, including self care, help and ordering. Identifying a major trend for security in the online environment, she readily accepted an offer to lead the communication, training and awareness for Security & Continuity Pan BT. Chris and her team work tirelessly to effect sustainable behavioural change, ensuring that security training, awareness, advice and support is provided and promoted throughout BT, so that BT’s people are aware of their security responsibilities, have the support they need to comply with security policy, and as a consequence help reduce the levels of risk to which BT is exposed.
