Natasha Boskic

Natasha Boskic works as an Educational Technology Manager in the office of External Programs and Learning Technologies (EPLT), Faculty of Education, The University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada. She provides instructional and technical support to EPLT instructors, finding optimal solutions for technology-based teaching and learning. She helps with instructional design, online discussion facilitation, and assignment and evaluation strategies. Natasha’s professional interests are in building online communities, student-teacher and student-student interactions, and cross-institutional collaboration. She has managed various local and international projects, such as on Web Accessibility and Aboriginal Education.She obtained her Masters Degree in Distance Education from Athabasca University in 2003, and a BC Teaching Certificate in 2004 from UBC. Natasha is pursuing her Ph.D. in Language and Literacy Education at UBC. The focus of her research is the intersection of gaming and literacy in the area of ethical behaviour. She looks into the ways players interact in the course of the game, and the reflection of those choices in real life.
