Mike Deschildre

Mike Deschildre is a learning consultant for IBM. Mike brings 15 years of project experience in working with learning organisations of multinationals across Europe. He did research on the cost of learning and helped international clients to build their business case for learning transformation. He currently leads IBM learning development in Europe, where he is responsible for the business development and delivery of learning content and learning infrastructure solutions. His team contains 90 learning professionals across Europe.Mike joined IBM in July 1995 in the Education and Training department. Through taking roles of financial specialist, project manager, instructional designer, he has experienced first hand the learning transformation within IBM over that period.Mike is a regular speaker at public events on learning related matters, including "the people dimension of innovation" IBM client event in London UK and “The convergence between Learning and Knowledge Management” at the Université Libre De Bruxelles.Mike holds a degree in econometrics and financial management (KULeuven).
