Dr Aric Sigman is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Fellow of the Institute of Biology. He has published papers addressing the effects of electronic media in Biologist, the journal of the Institute of Biology, and is the author of the book Remotely Controlled: How television is damaging our lives. His talk on this subject at the Houses of Parliament caused widespread public debate. Dr Sigman travels abroad frequently to various cultures including Bhutan, North Korea, Mali, Borneo, Tonga, Myanmar, Laos, Iran, Vietnam, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Far Eastern Siberia, Sumatra, South Korea, Cambodia and others to observe the influence of electronic media.
