Uwe Spangler holds a degree in pedagogy (specialised in training and e-learning) from the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (Germany) and an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from IE Business School (Spain). He has been part of the e-learning project team (www.ie.edu/multimedia) of IE Business School since 2006, as a connection point between internal professors and the in-house production team.
From his point of view it is important to switch from the developer/learner role in order to understand the real needs of today’s students in an ever increasingly complex learning and teaching setting. He brings in the experience as alumni of an online MBA to affront this challenge.
Uwe has experience in the field of instructional design and online learning, after several years in the automotive sector in Germany and Spain, in roles related with the implementation of new tools in business and learning processes. Today he is one of the people responsible for the production of online content. His passion is technology enhanced learning and the future of the formal/informal learning dilemma. Uwe is also coordinating the blog http://learningexperiences.blogs.ie.edu/, writing about e-learning on the school’s internal publication, and as a web 2.0 enthusiast likes to think about the future of learning.
Uwe has experience presenting at conferences in Spain and abroad about content development and the online case method.
