Jim Herbolich has been involved in education for more than 30 years and is currently the Director of Network Services at EFMD, where he is in charge of Membership, Business School Services, Corporate Services, and Benchmarking and Surveys.
He is also a faculty member of the Human Resources Management Department of ESADE in Barcelona, Spain.
At the EFMD, Jim has worked on the development of regional quality standards for management education in Central Asia and South Asia and the development of business school networks in the Middle East and Africa.
Jim represents the EFMD at the meetings of RABE, the Russian Association of Business Education, and AAPBS, the Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools.
Jim has been managing the EFMD CEL (teChnology-Enhanced Learning) Accreditation---the EFMD accreditation for ICT based learning programmes since its inception in 2003. He is also a board member of EFQUEL: the European Foundation for Quality in e-Learning.
Jim has published in the areas of negotiating, report writing and socio-linguistics
and has lived and worked in North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. His last overseas project was as the Director of the MBA Program at the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics, and Strategic Research (KIMEP) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where he was also Team Leader for the consortium of European business schools collaborating at KIMEP.
