Eva Gjerdrum is the Director of Norwegian Opening Universities since February 2008.
Prior to this she has held various positions at the University of Tromso and the University Hospital of Northern Norway such as; Project manager for the “Reorganisation Project”, investigating a new organisation model initiated by the director of the University of Tromso. Manager at the Study Department, Faculty of Medicine, University of Tromso. Manager of the Advisory and Dissemination department at the Norwegian Centre of Telemedicine, University Hospital of Northern Norway, responsible for the eHealth - eLearning programmes at the Centre. Engaged by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tromso, managing the work with developing a Master’s degree in Telemedicine and eHealth.
She holds a Master’s degree in political science from the University of Tromso, 1992
