Nicholas Kind

Nick Kind is Managing Director of Spark Learning Limited, a specialist developer of educational software, working in both online and offline media. Increasingly, Spark Learning also works on "public service new media" projects. Highlights of Nick's past work includes putting the complete Arden Shakespeare online and acting as Executive Producer on a range of BBC educational projects. Spark Learning is currently working on several CD-ROM product ranges for major educational publishers and a collaborative online community for teachers.Nick's core skill is in successfully managing the interfaces (and sometimes compromises) between the creative, technical, editorial, business and people aspects of a project to ensure it gets delivered on time and to budget. He is an expert in content management and its associated technologies and operational issues, the use of ICT in learning, and in the entire lifecycle of online businesses and services - from market research, business modelling and planning to technology upgrades and ongoing operations. Nick has an English Literature degree from Cambridge University. When he's not working, he is usually with his wife and his three children and/or enjoying the great outdoors.
