Erwin Kok

Erwin Kok worked in the past as a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse. Since 2001 he is member of the e-learning development platform of the educationally institute (Wenckebach Institute WI) of the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG Netherlands). He participated and leads several projects innovating education for healthcare employees such as e-learning, use of multimedia applications, gaming, development of learning portals and simulation education.The learning portal of the WI at this moment provides more than twenty e-learning courses and recently the WI started a partnership with a publisher to distribute them by a national learning portal. Erwin is an active member of the Blended Learning Platform of the Dutch Hospital Association (NVZ) and leads several workshops on international conferences in Berlin (Online Educa 2004) and Salt Lake City USA (Slice of Life (IAMSE) 2007 and 2008). Also Erwin Kok was an invited speaker in national seminairs (E-HRM conferences, congres Corporate Learning, Dutch national e-learning congres and congresses medical education (NVMO).Erwin published in several journals about e-learning in healthcare, implementation of elektronic education and using gaming-technologics for healthcare students.
