Jo Robson

Jo Robson is a qualified teacher who taught in primary and special schools in the London Borough of Newham, before being appointed as a Centre Manager for the West Ham United Playing for Success (PfS) centre.  Jo established this pioneering centre, and a second Newham PfS centre at the East London Gymnastics Club. Jo was subsequently employed by Brighton & Hove City Council to oversee their two PfS centres, and to work with schools and external providers to develop an out of school learning strategy for the Local Authority.  Jo has also been employed for many years by Canterbury Christchurch University as a consultant, researching tools to measure the impact of study support, and also to chair quality assurance recognition meetings for the Quality in Study Support Code of Practice.  Jo specializes in ‘Out of School Hours’ learning, inspirational learning programmes, and quality assurance, and has a particular interest in personalized learning programmes and the use of ICT as a way of motivating learners.
