Bernat Martinez

Dr Bernat Martinez possesses a degree in Physics and a Ph.D. in Science Education. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience in secondary school. Since 1998, he is working as pedagogical advisor and teacher trainer at CEFIRE with a focus on the development of ICT based teaching material, as well as designing and delivering online courses. He has created content for the web (a web based astronomy course, in Spanish) and won an award in the 2007 contest of European elearning awards with the work: Earth in the Universe, an online/blended course. In the last years, Bernat has collaborated in various European projects (i.e. Xplora, ISSUE) and coordinated some European teacher training courses. Now he is the coordinator of ITEMS project (Improving teacher Education in Math and Science).
