Frances A. May is Coordinator of Library Workshops at the University of North Texas Libraries in Denton, TX, located just north of Dallas, Texas. She is also an adjunct professor at the School of Library and Information Sciences. She has a Master of Science degree in Library Science from UNT and a Bachelor's degree with majors in English and Geology from Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Ms. May has presented papers on her work at several venues, including Online Educa Berlin 2006, the Association for College and Research Libraries conferences, the 2004 Distance Education Conference, and the 2003 and 2005 International Conferences on eLiteracy at Glasgow, Scotland. She has collaborated on two programs with a professor of Communication Studies, Dr. Karen Anderson, and they have presented at the the 2006 Educause Conference and at the Texas Library Association Conference in 2008. Ms. May has also served on the Program Planning Committee for the 2006 and 2008 Texas Library Association Conferences. She enjoys reading, ceramics, gardening, and T'ai Chi.
