Mushtaq Ahmed Memon
Dr Memon is working with UNEP as a Programme Officer at International Environmental Technology Center in Japan. He has been working for more than 20 years on international assignments. His current focus is on integrated solid waste management based on 3R approach as well as management of specific waste streams including waste biomass, E-waste and wastewater. He holds a Ph.D. degree from Hiroshima University (Japan) in Environmental Economics and Management, a Masters degree from University of Bradford (UK) in Project Planning and National Development, a Postgraduate Diploma in Transport and Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Pakistan. Before joining UNEP, he has also worked as Director of Human Resources and Training for the UNDP-World Bank Project on Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Pakistan, and as a Senior Policy Researcher at Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) in Japan.
