Stephanie Merkenich

Stephanie Merkenich is a certified media educator and teacher for German and English language as well as communication and politics at the Glass Working Technical School in Rheinbach near Bonn.With the complex virtual learning environment for the acquisition of professional English as a Second Language, called “English for Glass Professionals”, she has developed an innovative web based  learning landscape in vocational education which combines classical eLearning tools such as learning games with web 2.0 instruments such as wiki, blogging, or pod- & vodcasting.The open web resource aims for collaborative learning, is usable in presence as well as distance learning settings, and offers specific methodic pools for learners as wells as teachers.
