John Minarcik

John R. Minarcik, MD is a professor of pathology at Destiny University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Saint Lucia, West Indies. He is an American board certified pathologist and nuclear medicine physician. He trained at the University of Illinois and Northwestern University in medicine and pathology, and practiced these specialties in private practice hospital settings for 30 years until his wife Barbara fell ill in 2002. He taught medical students pathology at Rosalind Franklin University School of Medicine, American University of Antigua, International American University, and online. His popular videos in histology and pathology have been viewed on Youtube over 5 million times, and an equal number of times on other medical video educational sites. He currently teaches medical school pathology completely online, both lectures and labs, using a variety of popular free software techniques.
