Bruce Anderson is a London-based political commentator of Conservative inclinations. He writes a weekly column for the Independent, principally on British politics, though he has opined on other countries, especially the United States, where he has Conservative Republican sympathies.
He has written for a large number of other British newspapers and journals, and is also a regular broadcaster. As he points out, 'he has a good radio face'. He has written one book: 'John Major: the Making of the Prime Minister' published in 1991. He is working on another one, which started as a quick life of David Cameron but has become a long study of British Conservatism.
He was educated at Campbell College, Belfast and Emmanuel College, Cambridge.
