Michelle Neil joined Pearson Education in 1999 to develop and manage educational media products in higher education. She worked on the initial releases of CourseCompass and MyMathLab and led development of MyEconLab, MyFinanceLab and several other e-learning products. Michelle brought to this work a degree in theatre history and an established career in educational, academic, and consumer computing publishing that had included sales, manuscript development, writing, project management, and electronic publishing. Inevitably, work with clients including Microsoft Press, MIT, and Forrester Research led to dabbling in SGML, interactive CD-ROMs, and the Web. What has always interested her has been finding the best ways to use technology to produce rich educational experiences, whether on the printed page or through interactivity. Lately, she has become a crusader for helping educators find ways to use these experiences to enrich teaching and learning in higher education. Michelle came to the UK from Boston in 2008 to lead Pearson International's online efforts in higher education in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America, and Australia.
