Gilly Salmon is Pro Vice Chancellor Learning Transformations at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne. Previously Prof Salmon was Executive Director of the Australian Digital Futures Institute based in the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.
Before she moved to Australia, she was Head of the Beyond Distance Research Alliance at the University of Leicester in the UK, and before that at the British Open University Business School.
She researches and publishes widely on the themes of innovation and change in Higher Education and the exploitation of new technologies of all kinds in the service of learning.
The third edition of her seminal book E-moderating was published in June 2011.
