TitleReal Experiences in Virtual Learning EnvironmentsDigital IdentityAddressing Continuously Evolving Learning NeedsDelivering More for Less – In Business
DescriptionThis session highlights the actual use of virtual learning environments, based on the results of several research projects within and between institutions. These studies and experiences provide better insight into how different institutional strategies and approaches affect the use of VLEs in higher education – in reality. This session focuses on the meaning and importance of digital identity across formal and informal lifelong learning pathways. The presenters discuss the issues of the management and control of our digital identity, as well as the impact that our increased online visibility, through the use of the social web, has on our digital lives.Society and technology are changing at a considerable pace, as are the learning needs of individuals , organisations and regions. This session takes a look at new approaches needed to address continuously evolving learning needs and how educators should keep ahead of the change. The current crisis places great strain on corporate learning and development, yet many use learning technologies to creatively adapt to rapidly changing business needs and, at the same time, to deliver more for less. Corporate organisations share their experiences and engage in a practical debate with the audience.
