This session shows innovative solutions for patient safety training with virtual patients; the latest graphics tools applied by the construction sector, as well as innovative devices and software for difficult learning situations. | In an era of alternative learning solutions, this lab session shows how to produce screen capture recordings, offering a real solution to the problem of training busy teachers and students who have little time to attend training sessions. This experience has received many awards. Please sign up for this session beforehand on a first-come first-served basis. | Research into learning technologies is growing rapidly. The challenge facing educators is cost-effectively turning pilot projects to practice. This Learning Café enables delegates to explore the strategy and achievements of research-based Media Zoo at the University of Leicester and the impact on the learners’ experience. | Learning, knowledge and understanding are amplified through the extension of personal networks. This session deals with the shift in learning practice, the move from individual to collaborative learning, and also illustrates how to put Web 2.0 learning tools to good use, placing students at the centre of the learning process. | SURFnet Kennisnet Innovation programme presents the results of four inspiring projects by different Dutch educational institutions, using mobile phones, eBook readers and PDAs for anyplace and anytime learning. Experience a demonstration of two newly developed mobile learning applications for further and higher education, a mobile quiz and lively discussion. |
